FABRIC REQUIREMENTS AND SUPPLIES
The fabric requirements already include an additional 10% for cutting waste and shrinkage. The fabric length is based on a fabric width of 1.40 m.
If you plan to use fabrics with a pattern repeat and want to match the design, the fabric requirements may increase.

Outer fabric: 0.25 m

Lining: 0.25 m
Interfacing: 0.25 m
Optional: Batting: 0.25 m
Zipper (continuous): 34 cm
Piping*: 1.60 m
*If you want to reinforce and highlight the bag's body with piping all around, use plastic reinforcement or a cord wrapped in fabric. Alternatively, you can purchase ready-made piping.

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS
You can also use faux leather, quilted fabrics, or long-pile fabrics like plush or teddy fabric. However, these materials are more challenging to work with than woven fabrics.

Tip: If you use stretchy or very lightweight fabrics, it’s advisable to reinforce the outer fabric pieces with interfacing and possibly batting to ensure the pattern doesn’t warp during sewing and the bag maintains its shape.

For the lining, we recommend lightweight woven fabrics made of cotton or polyester, as they are easy to work with and don’t stretch.
