Ipanema is a 1-piece lycra swimsuit pattern for girls aged 2 to 16.

The back neckline is deep, and the straps meet at mid-back or are more or less crossed, depending on your taste.

You can add a bow with or without ties at the base of the straps.

An optional gathered ruffle enlivens the straps, then extends over the armholes and back. It's wide enough at the shoulders, tapering gradually to the sides or mid-back.

Ipanema can be sewn both on the sewing machine and on the serger/overlocker, and is quick and easy to sew.
