This pattern and tutorial allow you to create beautiful shorts for your child with an optional adjustable waistband, stunning details and a professional finish using French seams.

The MARLO pattern along with all other patterns in the shop, was designed for your child to grow into it so you don’t have to change their wardrobe every few months.

Because every child is different, this pattern was created to be of a comfortable fit.

Please follow the measurement chart to see where your child would be the most comfortable in with room to grow. For smaller children, I recommend making a size up and choosing the adjustable waistband option.

I particularly enjoy and recommend natural, recycled and sustainable fabrics. Linen being my favourite I would suggest you choose a medium weight fabric for best results such as cotton, hemp and linen.
