Châtaigne is a blouse or dress with gathers and puffy sleeves. Its rounded front bib and its light bare back (in the back) give it a very feminine side. Châtaigne can be sewn with long or short sleeves. The back fastening is done with a flange and a button. For the dress version, pockets are provided in the side seams.

 

To make sewing easier:

  • All pdf patterns now have layers by size and have no frame to cut out.
  • Seam allowances are included.
  • No overlapping parts.

Level: Accessible to beginners who have already sewn a garment. The technical points are the creation of the gathers, the creation and the insertion of the flange.

Choice of fabric: To sew the Châtaigne blouse, choose a warp and weft fabric: viscose, cotton batiste, poplin, tencel, chambray, dotted swiss, crepe... A fluid fabric will highlight the gathers.

Supplies (fabric width 140cm):

  • Blouse: up to 170cm depending on the models and sizes (more details in the booklet).
  • Dress: up to 235cm depending on the models and sizes (more details in the booklet).
