With its V-neckline and knotted straps, Emmelina is a summertime model that will be with you all summer long.

Sizes: 32 to 50.

Several variations are possible from a single pattern:

Top or dress version: straight top, short or long dress.
décolletés to shape the bust: a wise décolleté (décolleté 1) or a more plunging décolleté (décolleté 2).
A swimmer's back or a straight back.
For the dress version, a simple skirt or a flounced skirt.
Knotted straps enable you to adjust them easily, either in the back or on the shoulders. But you can sew simple straps if you prefer.

2 finishes are available for the bodice: fully lined or with facing. For a beautiful finish, the pieces are assembled with English seams.

PDF pattern sheets in 2 formats (A0 and A4 booklet) for your own printing. The A4 pattern is to be assembled edge to edge, no need to cut! :) Laeti and Léa patterns are multi-cut: you're free to print one or more sizes of the basic pattern, and to add or omit seam allowances.

Description

This pattern is designed for a stature of 1.65 m.

Available in sizes 32 to 50.

The most important measurements for this pattern are stature and bust size.

If you're taller or shorter than the advertised stature, and the measurements of the finished garment don't fit, you can make adjustments: you can shorten or lengthen the bust or skirt panels as explained in the guide.

If you're between 2 sizes, choose the larger size.

Materials required

Fabric

For the main fabric, choose a light to medium weight warp and weft fabric: cotton, embroidered cotton, plumetis, cotton voile, double gauze, linen, crepon, seersucker, broderie anglaise, viscose, crepe, silk, tencel... Any light fabric recommended for blouses or dresses with a nice fall...

For lining: cotton or viscose voile.

Small haberdashery

Matching thread, needles adapted to your fabric.
A 6 m by 3 cm rectangle of fusible webbing adapted to your fabric* for the openings of the straps tied in the back
Straight fusible webbing for the neckline.

* Note: Type and thickness to be chosen according to your fabric.
