I recommend a fabric with good hold, not too flowing: tweed, poplin, heavy crepe, linen, broderie anglaise, cotton... to add volume to your skirt
If, however, you wish to use a flowing fabric, it's a good idea to iron on the shirring to give the skirt a firmer hold at the waist.

Héné is the skirt from the Solène dress.
With this pattern, you have 2 garment possibilities:
- Short flat-pleated skater skirt
- Long flat-pleated skirt
Héné is a high-waisted skater skirt with multiple flat pleats.
In its short version, I see it in a geometric cotton, to match, for example, the sleeveless sole bustier and heeled sandals for a pretty evening look.
In its long version, you can opt for a fabric with a little more fluidity, like a double viscose crepe, to wear this summer with a basic tee-shirt and mules.
