RECOMMENDED FABRICS
Please note: Multiple layers of fabrics are required to make the DODO sleep sack. The inner fabric, the outer fabric and an optional additional fabric for extra warmth. Both woven and knit fabrics are suitable.
For the inner layer, it is recommended to use an absorbant fabric such as organic cotton
shirting, cotton voile, cheesecloth, honeycomb fabric or repurposed bed sheets.
For the outer layer you can use a mid-weight linen or a wool, sherpa, fleece type of material but make sure it is still breathable so your baby doesn’t over heat.
You may choose to use a batting for additional warmth if you are using light-weight fabrics such as a thin cotton, bamboo or wool flanelette to add structure to the sleep sack, especially if you want it quilted.
If you are not sure which fabric to use, look up the hashtag #dodomimito on Instagram for
inspiration.

PDF TUTORIAL AND SEWING PATTERN
This tutorial is an interactive PDF which means that when clicking on the blue highlighted text, it will take you straight to the online link. Please note: This pattern contains three files. A PROJECTOR file, a Print At Home file and a Copy Shop file. When using Adobe Acrobat for printing, you can select the layer corresponding to the size you want and print only that particular size. Remember to keep the layers labelled INSTRUCTIONS.
The PROJECTOR file can be opened using Adobe Acrobat. You can deselect the sizes you do not need and display only your desired size. Ensure your projector is calibrated and measure the check square to ensure the pattern is at the correct scale. If using dark-coloured fabric, change the colour setting of the projector file so the pattern and text are easier to see.
The Copy Shop file can be printed at any printing store onto two large pieces of paper. It needs to be printed true to size at scale 100%. This specific file fit onto two A0 paper sheets or US
equivalent. Only print the second page if you are making the ruffle version in size 18 - 24 months. Remember to measure the check square at the store before you go home to make sure your pattern has been printed correctly.
The Print At Home file can be printed at home with any standard printer at scale 100% in auto (not portrait). It contains 30 pages that you need to assemble by cutting the margins and taping the pages together following the numbers indicated on each page. This file suits both A4 and US Letter printers.
