PDF Pattern - Blouse Françoise
La blouse Françoise is a tribute to Françoise d'Aubigné, known as Madame de Maintenon.
Madame de Maintenon, and her incredible life story. Born in a prison, married to Paul Scarron, she made her mark at the court of Versailles, eventually marrying Louis XIV.
Becoming "the king's shadow", the favorite had a disconcerting ascendancy and influence.
Returning to the pattern, this is a fairly classic blouse: round collar, breast darts, straight cut. It stands out for its many optional details: the addition of ruffles on the collar, the bottom of the blouse or the shoulders.
Its distinctive feature is the cut-outs on the front and sleeves. Cut-outs that will delight lovers of piping or embroidery braids that you can add to each seam. This set of pieces will also allow you to have fun with patterns or even patchwork, making this pattern ideal for using up your fabric scraps!
The back of the blouse is simple and closes with a slit at the collar. The sleeves are puffed, short or long, and end with a simple sleeve band. You can also sew it sleeveless, with little ruffles on the shoulders!
You'll need a serger or zigzag stitch on your sewing machine.
