Supply list
◦ Fabric and matching thread
◦ Sewing machine
◦ Iron and small sewing equipment (pins, scissors etc...)
◦ Overlock machine (optional). If the serger is not an option for you, use the sewing machine's zig zag stitch for overcasting.
◦ Straight iron-on thread
◦ 1.5 cm wide ribbon or 3 cm wide elastic.

Fabric measurements and recommendations
These yardages are based on a 140 cms width.

PANTALON fabric

sizes 34 to 42: 200 cm

sizes 44 to 50: 230 cm

size 52: 250 cm

SHORT version fabric

sizes 34 to 44: 90 cm

sizes 46 to 52: 120 cm

Elastic version

Width 3 cm, length: waist circumference indicated in table

Ribbon version

Width 1.5 cm, length: 180 cm

Straight Thermo-adhesive thread

All sizes: 30 cm

This pattern is designed to be sewn into warp and weft fabrics, i.e. woven fabrics, not knitted fabrics (like knits). You can sew SYDNEY in many different types of fabric! From heavy fabrics for a beautifully structured fall to thinner fabrics for a soft, flowing effect.

For the final versions sewn to prepare this model, I used ribbed polyester velvet, light tencel denim, soft denim (in purple in the photos) and viscose, for example. I also made it in cotton flannel pajama bottoms!
