Pattern Maillot De Bain Atéa - PDF

€8.00

The Atéa sewing pattern is a "two-piece" swimsuit with a plunging, interlocking neckline. Its tie straps give it a millimeter-perfect fit and add originality, notably with the breast band that ties at the front. The briefs are mid-rise and quite revealing for a beach swimsuit.

To sew this swimsuit, we recommend stretch fabrics (in both directions). They need to have at least 50% elasticity and elastane (known as Lycra or Spandex) in their composition. Synthetic materials (polyester, polyamide) offer good resistance to wear and aging, while drying quickly. When it comes to lining, you need a fabric with good stretch in both directions, and one that's thin enough to dry quickly. Foam" lining is the most recommended. Fine jersey is also suitable, but will take longer to dry.

Specific flat, thin elastic is needed to support most Atea jersey seams. Several brands are suitable: Laminette, Lastin or Framilastic. Foam thread is recommended for its softness and elasticity. You'll need to use a stretch or jersey needle on your sewing machine.
