Fabric suggestions:
For both variations, choose a light or medium shirt. Your fabric can be drape, like rayon or crepe, or a little stronger than linen. If your fabric is coarse, choose a light, slippery lining fabric to line the cape.
The required fabric includes a 5% tolerance for shrinkage. Note that fabric consumption may be higher for patterned fabrics and for fabrics that need to be cut one way.
