This pattern has been created for woven fabrics. Don’t use knits. Only available in french.

This intermediary sewing pattern includes sizes 32-50FR and two versions. You can either create a dress or a top with long or short sleeves.

AINO is a revisited and feminine shirt dress. It is fitted at the waistline due to the pleats. You’ll find in this garment some classic elements of a shirt: yoke, button placket and cuffs with sleeve plackets. Contrarily to a classic shirt Aino has an open neckline without a collar. The top and bottom parts of this garment are wide. You can either make a dress or a shirt version with short sleeves or with long sleeves and sleeve plackets.

To assemble a button placket, yoke, folded hem, cuffs and sleeve button plackets and to form pleats.

Fabrics

Choose light or medium weigth structured fabrics: toile, popeline or crepe. Make sure that your fabric is not see through if you’re making a dress.

Width: 1,40m.

Fabric length including 10cm to anticipate possible shrinkage during the wash:

Version A Dress with short sleeves: Sizes 32-50 1,90m.
Version A Dress with long sleeves: Sizes 32-50 2,20m.
Version B Top with long sleeves: Sizes 32-50 1,70m.
Version B Top with short sleeves: Sizes 32-50 1,35m.

Attention! The length of the fabric was calculated for a fabric width of 1,40m. It will not be enough for lesser width.

Interfacing

Choose thin woven interfacing.
Version A 0,80m.
Version B 0,60m.

Accessories

Buttons diameter 1-1,5cm. For the dress 7 buttons. For the top 4 buttons. For the long sleeves 2 buttons.
One spool of polyester thread in matching colour.
OPTIONAL: 3 spools of matching colour for an overlock machine. If you don’t have an overlock, you can use a zig zag stitch on your sewig machine.
