This intermediate-level sewing pattern includes sizes 32-50FR and both versions. You can make a dress or top with short or long sleeves.

AINO is a revisited, feminine shirtdress. It is fitted at the waist with quilted box pleats. It features all the elements of a classic shirt: yoke, button placket and cuffs. Unlike a shirt, it has a scoop neckline with a shirring. The top and bottom sections are loose-fitting. It is available in two lengths, with short cuffed sleeves or long sleeves with cuffs and placket.

Description

Fabrics

Choose thin or medium-thick structured fabrics: canvas, poplin or crepe. Choose opaque fabrics for the dress.

Fabric width: 1.40m.

Metric (or fabric length) including 10cm margin to allow for shrinkage in the wash:

Version A Short-sleeved dress: Sizes 32-50 1.90m.
Version A Long-sleeved dress: Sizes 32-50 2.20m.
Version B Long-sleeved top: Sizes 32-50 1.70m.
Version B Short-sleeved top: Sizes 32-50 1.35m.

Please note that this yardage is specifically calculated for a 140cm width. It is not suitable for narrower widths.

Iron-on

Choose a fine mesh fusible webbing.
Version A 0.80m.
Version B 0.60m.

Haberdashery

Buttons diameter 1-1.5cm. For the dress 7 buttons. For the top 4 buttons. For long sleeves 2 buttons.
One spool of polyester sewing thread in matching color.
OPTIONAL: Three cones of thread in matching color for the serger. You can either use a similar color that you already have, or make a zig-zag if you don't have a serger.
